Plagiarism detection: how Zamn helps stop cheating

Zamn offers plagiarism detection as one of the ways to stop cheating in online assignments and exams. This feature helps you:

  • Find how similar students' answers are.
  • Help teachers grade answers and finish grading faster.
  • Find answers that students copied from each other without permission, especially in questions that need detailed answers.

How plagiarism detection works​

When two or more students submit the same or very similar answers, the system shows how similar the answers are. This helps teachers find possible cheating and keep grading fair.

The similarity shows to the coach on the submission review page, under the answer to each question of the Write Long Text type. The system compares the answer with other students' answers to the same question, and shows the 5 highest similarity results, from highest to lowest.
